I'm sorry, greenfire, I just don't agree with you on this one. I'm not going to leave the definition of "mentchlichkeit" to any adult out there on the street. I do not think most adults can be an objective observer and a positive influence both at the same time, at any given time.
I work hard at balancing my kids' good experiences and bad experiences, independent of their behavior. I will not allow just anybody out there to interfere.
