I think the minhag is to clean one room and just do bedikas chometz in that room, but you really need to ask your rabbi on that, could be diff. pple do diff. things.

...but don't forget, even if you do that bedikas Chometz but you do it earlier than the usual time (eg., you go away before erev YT), you have to do bedikas Chometz again at the normal time in the place where you are staying.
