Like 50-70 pounds?
Is it doable?
How long did it take?
I am going to my first meeting this week...wish me luck!

by the summer, my sister lost 40 lbs so far, and it's prob. closer to 50 by now.
ww is the only technique recommended by drs; why do you doubt it ?

my dr recommended a different diet for me-worked wonders b"H! I lost 30 pounds in 2 months! im still on it, and still losing!
in case anyone wants to know, its www.weightnomoredietcenter.com
they have offices in brooklyn, 5 towns, deal, marlboro, and maybe also other places. it is more expensive than weight watchers, but imo, its well worth the $$. also, you get like 26 free weeks after you lose all your weight there, to teach you to maintain your goal weight...

I lost 13 lbs on ww, and was able to keep it off for a while. Its the one diet on which you eat a normal healthy diet and lose weight. Its very doable and you don't fall off it if you cheat on one M &M.

Lol, I thought it was just me!
I lost 50-6lb, 7 times.
Well actually 6 1/2 times.
This last time, I lost about 35lb. Then before I finished losing the last 15lb, we bought a new house, sold our house, and are moving in 4 days. Major stress, and I think I've gained it all back :-(
Once we move and settle in, I hope to get back on track with WW and working out.

I used the points plan (without meetings) 10 years ago and lost 20 kg (figure the pounds for me!) in about a year. Then I kept that weight till my pregnancies. I used it again (just the points by memory) and I've lost 10 in about a year. I need to get on the points and lose another 5 but I haven' been able to pull myself together for it and stop eating so much bread in the weeks.
Have fun with it and have great success!

WW has really worked for me.....if you really stick to it you can loose allot in short amount of time. I have been on since Feb. and lost 31 lb...could probably have lost more if I was even more stricter but I would say in the past month I havent been the greatest but after yom tov I plan to be really good and hopefully loose another 22 lb. by feb, thats my goal!

I lost like 20 pounds in 4 months on it. then I wasnt as strict, but when I got back into I lost more. and that was without excersize so I know if I would have done that it would have been more. its definitely a diet worth trying.

I lost 70 lbs 10 years ago. Took me nine months - like a pregnancy.
I still count my points and b"h have kept it off.
I also exercise a lot.

It's not cheating on WW. I think that's the key - you're not cheating, and therefore there are no guilt feelings.
I lost 28 lbs on WW last winter, then got pregnant and stopped. I'm back on it now, but I'm finding it a bit harder. Although I'm allowed A LOT more points while nursing, which really makes it much easier, the fact that I'm always exhausted makes it harder for me not to crave junk. I am losing still, though.

I answered your question already but since I assume you did not see the answer:
BORO PARK YM-YWHA Location
4912 14TH AVE
BROOKLYN , NY 11219
monday 12:00 PM
Wednesday 6:00 PM
Those are the only two times at the Y.
If you go to weight watchers.com you can put in your zipcode and find other nearby locations like flatbush or bayridge.
