Alexandra is just the feminine version of Alexander.
Many Jewish people name their children Alex (or Sender) b/c Alexander the Great was good to the Jews.

It is used in my family--both Alexander and Alexandra. I know other frum (yeshivish, chassidishe descent) families who use it also.

I think pretty much every name goes with Chana except Chaya.

I know several Chaya Chanas, chava chanas, chana chayas and chana chavas.

avigayil chana, chana bracha, chana basya, chana devora, esther chana, elisheva chana, chana gila, chana hila, chana keila, chana miriam, naomi chana or ne'ima chana (pleasant grace, how gorgeous is that?), chana perel, chana rochel, chana rina, chana riva, chana shira, chana sara, chana shulamis, chana tamar, chana tehila, chana tova, chana yael, chana yaffa...

if using chana as a first name I'd avoid middle names that begin with a glottal stop. something like "chana atara" is awkward and would eventually become chanatara, which sounds like either an asian martial arts ritual or an indian spice mixture. also I'd avoid a middle name starting with N: "chana ne'ima" sounds like you're stuttering. If using chana as a middle name, I'd avoid first names accented on the last syllable or three-syllable first names accented on the first syllable: "miriam chana" limps badly.

other than these caveats, "chana" is like tofu--blends well with almost anything.

There was actually a righteous woman- she may even have been married to a king I think- and her name was Shlomit Alexandra. She was the sister of Rabbi Shimon ben Shatach. Love the name.
