This is embarrassing... DH has been developing holes in the crotches of his pants recently... and it never ever happened before!!! Any ideas why? Can this be fixed - or are these pants garbage?
He's gained a little weight recently, if that makes a difference - but extra "padding" doesn't put pressure on the crotch of the pants!!!

DH had this a few times. A tailor can sew a piece of fabric on the inside of the pants. DH usually takes the piece that they cut off when the suit was hemmed and they sew it inn. A lot of heavy stitching lines but no one sees it and it saves the suit.

And no, it's not embarrassing - the fabric gets rubbed out from the friction of the 2 pant legs rubbing against each other with every steo he takes.

Depends on how much he spends on his pants. A tailor might charge $35 to fix that.
It might pay to just buy new pants.

When he gets new suits have the tailor "reinforce" the area with extra fabric from the inside. My DH does that to all his suit pants.
