I made choclate bark in advance the other year, it lasts and so do chocolate pretzels if stored correclty, I wouldnt package them too early though.... royal icing cookies I know people who make them professionally quite a bit in advance and you wouldnt know the difference. The year I got married, before purim, we did a cool idea for my mother, all done a month in advance, all small packages, like a reismans cookie and a small drink etc,
for MIL my friend did a similar idea to something mentioned above, she did a few dif size pitchers with dif colored fruit drinks, the family enjoyed it by the seudah and MIL had beautiful pitchers to keep
another friend did a cookie jar set- also a few sizes with dif cookies
I did a choco log idea, looked gorg and elegant and classy
