Thanks everyone for the replies!
Part of the reason I'm not looking to spend $40 on a bottle is because I have no idea if the rebbeim I'm giving it to even appreciate good wine. If I knew for sure it would be appreciated I'd be quicker to spend it.Plus I'm often giving a check with it as well..
But I've appreciated everyones input- thank you!

How about just giving a bottle of Grape Juice
Most people drink it and if not they can always give it away, you will not have to worry about giving the wrong stuff.

I always give the rebbeim 25- 30$ range. Cabernet is popular. You don’t need to overthink if they drink or not
