They also sell motzerella string cheese with an Aguda hechsher. Most makolets carry them - they are in an orangy-red bag and come in motzerella or plain yellow cheese.

I made these and while they were delicious, the cheese sort of disappeared! the sticks were hollow and there were only little bits of cheese on the edges of some of them. where did it go??

I've eaten them out and they do the same thing. I think that the cheese condenses (shrinks?) after it melts and cools.

I froze them and then they were perfectly melted and firm when it was time to fry.
