Me haha was the best year. We had an absolute blast.
Mrs Ungar harassed us because she decided we're wearing make-up, but we didn't.

Speaking about makeup, the joy of getting made up for Contata or plays.
I have a vague memory of a higher up (maybe R Lorencz) saying no more makeup by the plays because they don't want to take responsibility of being the first to introduce us to the (nisht oisgehaltene) idea of wearing makeup.
Did they ban makeup for future plays? Maybe the cast was an exception? I just remember there being talk about it.

The indoor pool, yoish. But I was from the few that almost always went swimming.
I still remember going to plays in the cheder haoichel before I was a camper. Who remembers Kruka? Ver in voos in vi in ven? I'm surprised that song is still in my head, I must have been tiny.
Mrs. Berger punishing in the showers or on the fire escape! But then when we became OD's we had the most fun with her. She's a legend. I think her husband passed away recently . | Glary'ono dine suf vet kimen. oib nisht hont demaltz murgan, vest es nuch bokimen...

Mrs Bluming decided no more makeup by plays. But the main actress were allowed! We got red ices before the plays to make our lips red. But a year or 2 later, we were allowed "stage cream" again. Not makeup chas vesholom....

I've definitely had long robes in camp, maybe it was only allowed in the bedrooms? Hence the rolling it up before the walk.

In my times we were allowed to eat the meals in our robes. Many girls didn't get dressed at all over shabbos. I think the rule changed when I was in 9th grade, we were only allowed to wear robes in the rooms.
