That information was out of date - you can make as many orders as you like as far as I know. Definitely read the fine print to confirm but this was the case a year ago.

The other ones are probably not strong enough for my house. I have 6 bedrooms plus 2 sets of stairs all carpeted. And a lot of heavy duty traffic!

I have a Bissel- not this one though- which I have been using over five years and it’s still working great. It was less than $100 (over 5 years ago). Disclaimer- I only used it for rugs and hardwood floors, not carpets.
