Boy do I feel old to think that books published in the 2000s are read by teenagers.
I read avner gold series dozens of times. For anyone who hasn't read the new versions please treat yourself to it.
I loved to read as a teenager but there weren't so many books then.
During covid lockdown when libraries were closed I looked for all my old favorites on Amazon and bought used versions of whatever I could for cheaper. I love having these books around.
I love vintage authentic classics. Some of the newer books feel so fake to me. Like an invented Holocaust story? Who on earth needs a fake story when there are plenty of real ones?

There were no English-language Jewish novels when I was a teen, and I sure wasn't about to break my head reading SY Agnon or I L. Peretz! Their short stories in Ivrit class were quite enough to last a lifetime.

Help with the title? |
sounds like maybe a chaim eliav book? I loved his novels as a teen.

I also read most of these books as an adult. I feel so old. |
Is this the one about the girl who comes to Israel from Yemen? I loved that book! Had no idea there was a sequel.

There was also another one, about a frum girl who became some kind of medical professional and her mother ended up marrying her professor or boss or something, and then she ended up saving his life.
Edit: I asked my sisters: working it out, getting it right, and making it last.

Me too!
I just remembered another one. I think it was called " My name is Saadiya". The same author also wrote another novel that had white cover with some kind of orange and brown design in it but I can't for the life of me remember the name....anybody know what I'm talking about? Google is not being helpful. Those novels were also very popular at my school.

Another one was of an orphan girl who lost her mother and only her father took care of her. I think her name was Gila. Does anyone know the title of this book? Saddest book |
Maybe called dollhouse? I think I know which book you’re talking about but can’t remeber the name for sure
