As I am the queen of lazy and do everything I can the easy way, this is what I do for dessert when bacharim come: I sprinkle a quarter of a small plate with cocoa, I make a Duncan Heinz (or Gefen equivalent) brownie, cut them into long uneven triangle shaped slices, put that onto the cocoa, with 3 mini scoops of sorbet next to it. It looks very impressive and really, there's nothing to it.

thanks for all your tips everyone- here is what I eneded up doing. I had plastic champagne glasses lying around, so I layered the sorbet in the glasses before shabbos, strawberry, lemon, strawberry. they looked stunning and didnt need a garnish at all. the colors also mixed a little where they met, it looked stunning and took 2 seconds.
jaysmom- I guess this is king of what u had in mind but it was already shabbos for me when you posted, and I dont even turn on my comp on friday usually, for sure dont have time to check immamother.
thanks to all for the great ideas.
