I'm going away...la, la lala...No cooking today...la, la lala
Bubby is thrilled...la, la lala...To cook, so I'm chilled...la, la lala Music

Don't mind me, I'm just a bit overworked and it's taking its toll Nervous. For me, going away for Y"T is an issue of retaining my sanity. I'm happy for all of you who are able to stay home!

Do you mind telling me the tune to your song? I'm trying to sing it in my mind, and it's just not working. Next time you post a song you should post a "ttto"

No tune, just a wacky tuneless little ditty with some sort of rhythm. Did you find any tune that goes with it? Smile

Don't know that one. I'm a hopelessly out of it Bais Yaakov girl. (What am I doing here, you ask? Ahhh, good question.)

In anticipation of three 3-day yom tovs, I started a few weeks ago and made:
honey cakes
knaidlach
sweet and sour meatballs
onion kugels
squash kugels
potato kugels
spinach lukshen kugel
creamed spinach
ratatouille
choc. chip cookies

I stopped b/c my freezers were full (don't have a full-size one, just two fridges with regular freezers.) I've been trying to empty them out by using other stuff, so that I can start cooking again!

my mushroom kugel

• 2 onions-- saute gently
• 2 10-12oz boxes of mushrooms, peeled and sliced-- add and saute
• salt and paper to taste
drain excess liquid

in the pan or pyrex you want to bake it in (smaller then 9x13, the larger you use the shallower your kugel. we do 8" square)
• 3 eggs-- beaten
• 3 tsp mayo-- mixed in
• salt and pepper to taste
_______________________
add onions and mushrooms to pan, mix gently. bake at 350 for about 40 min.
my husband loves this kugel, and my brother in law who 'doesnt eat mushrooms' also does...
enjoy
