It only sounds authentic to those that aren't chasidish and don't know the nuances of those that speak this way. For me, it is equally funny because this isn't how all chasidish people speak, but you do find it amongst some groups in certain cities.

She's fantastic. And she jolly well does sound authentic - I grew up with people whose mothers sounded exactly like her, just with English accents.
I think she is the spitting image of Heidi of the Georgie shaitel thing. Maybe it's her!

alright. here's my 2 cents: The content is authentic. the accent and dress are VERY off. her yiddish is atrocious... that turban is for sleeping, and she is too heaveily made up to be an authentic "chaya suri". her loshon kodesh havarah was not chasidish. she sounds like a non-chasidish married into a chasidish family who has already adopted their mode of thinking/talking but has retained her old dialect/accent.

Her first video, "gettin mah nails did" is the funniest one of them all, but sooo stereotypical/racist.... Wink

so now I know how the AA's would feel if they would view that one...
