Rachel means ewe. Choir is a prettier meaning, IMO.

OP, I've heard the name Tzlil before - it means musical note. I also like Rinat, or Rona.

Maytar means chord or violin string.

We have good friends that named their child Shir-Li (pronounced Sheer-Lee, ie "my song") for a grandma who had passed away who was named Shirley.

I also know a Gittit. It's spelled with a Taf. She was born on wednesday when we say "Lamnatzecha al Hagittit".

smiling mom - sorry for the delayed response! I see ppl responded to the meaning of Maytar. Shirai is pronounced shee-ri (as in rye bread :-) Boys names are Negen and Laron (NOT Liron).
