$50-100 gift for 3 boys

My mother wants to buy one gift that all 3 of my sons can share. Her budget is 50-100. My boys are 9-12.

Last year we got them a big set of Snap Circuits, which they really enjoyed; I'd love something similar: something to keep them occupied; if it's educational, that's a bonus!

They all have remote control helicpoters, otherwise, they don't play with toys that much these days. They play ball and read and play on their DS gizmos. No DS games, I'm getting so sick of the zombi look on their faces while they play those electronic games. We have good secular and Judaic libraries nearby, so books are not necessary.

No extracurricular activities or lessons. They get home at 6pm and have optional learning groups two nights a week, so there's no time.

some sort of cool scooter or other outdoor toy they can share?

do they like lego? What do they do on shabbos? what about a building toy like knex or meccano, or a real train set?

They make tiny legos, which require more skill. My DS loves his. There are lots of styles and characters.

Would they build and paint models? Cars, airplanes, etc?

Ball is hard in the winter, obvioiusly, or you could get an assortment of footballs, soccer balls, etc.
