Is there a meatballs and spaghetti recipe you've tried that tastes good with and without tomato sauce? Part of my family hates tomato sauce and part of my family loves....

You can do anything really.
Honey garlic meatballs
Brown sauce meatballs
Plain baked meatballs or topped with mushroom sauce
Use cranberry sauce
Meatballs in carrot sauce
Meatballs in soup

From Kosher by Design Kids in the Kitchen
"Meatballs 2 Ways"
For 1/2 lb ground meat for each sauce (1 lb total, so double the sauce if you're only making it one way)
Red sauce
1 16oz can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 26oz jar marinara sauce
Combine in medium pot. Place over medium heat and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Brown Sauce
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
3 Tbs all purpose flour
1 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 Tbs soy sauce
Place all ingredients in medium pot. Mix to dissolve flour. Place over medium heat and cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Method:
Roll your meatball mixture into balls the size of large marbles and carefully add to the pot(s). Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 40 minutes.

Saute minced garlic a few minutes in olive oil, mix into spaghetti
You can add chopped scallions raw or cook them a bit too.
Good with sour cream, yogurt or cottage cheese.
I imagine it would not be bad with meatballs, although you need to make them moist enough not to miss the sauce. Maybe put some soy sauce into the meatball mixture.

I one tried the Brown Sauce from KBD Kids in the Kitchen and it was good but required some tweaking, so I changed it up a little and it turned out delicious.

I read that as garlic and olive oil spaghetti goes well with dairy and meatballs would probably work instead.
