We will be in lakewood, if you see us around, let me know. Stop and say hi, or honk your horn.
Or you can post here too.

Names changed-just in case....

We have a purim puzzle this year
Each costume we have is a pair
But with a play on words to make it confusing
We hope you find our ideas amusing

We’ll give you an example we did not use
The rest you may guess if you so choose
If guessing is out and you just want to know
The answers are written on this page just below

If one was dressed as card from a deck
With a bowtie tied around their neck,
Give a guess, take a second to try…….
Their costume would be a “SUIT & TIE”

And now for the rest, I’ll tell you what we are
If you can guess any you will be a star.
And if you don’t, that’s also just fine,
Not all minds are as twisted as mine.

Sarah is riding a HORSE as you see,
And dressed as a ladyBUG-cute as can be.
Put them together and what do you get?
Don’t give up, not just yet….

A multiplication TABLE Devorah is wearing.
Don’t worry we won’t test you, if that’s what you’re fearing
A CHEERleading costume and she is complete.
If you guess what she is you can take a seat.

Shanie has many HANDS as most mothers do
And 12” rulers that don’t fit in a shoe.
That’s it for our costumes, they are now done.
But wait, the mishloach manos are part of the fun.

There’s a tub of PEANUT BUTTER and a box of JELLY rings,
Please tell me you get this, it’s the simplest of things.
Next we have SALT packets and colored PEPPERS too,
It’s obvious to me, is it obvious to you?

And now for the final phase of our poem,
We give you the answers and then go on home.
If you don’t want to read them now, that’s okay,
They’ll still be there at the end of the day.

Sarah’s a HORSE & BUGGY-isn’t that plain?
Devorah’s a TABLE & CHAIRS-not such a strain
12” is a foot, and when 2 of them meet,
They explain Shanie who is HANDS AND FEET.

The mishloach manos are clear, of that we are sure,
But in case your brain couldn’t take anymore…..
PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY was too easy it’s true.
The SALT & PEPPER, well, we know that you knew.

Now we have come to the end of the line
All that’s left for us is our names to sign.
So A FREILICHEN PURIM from Shanie and crew,
A FREILICHEN PURIM from my family to you.

Wow. One up for creativity.

This year I couldn't fit my idea into a poem and instead of asking Imamother to help me rhyme everything, I just wrote it in prose Smile

This year we got a kick out of connecting soccer with Purim. To start with, when Vashti (a real sore loser) refused to obey the Coach, he blew the whistle and yelled, "Sock her!" (read that fast). We were also inspired by Esther, a key player in the Purim story, who, with the Jews of Shushan, showed true team spirit. She managed to kick Haman off the pitch for angering the Referee. When the ball was in her court, Esther defended us and scored a goal for us, ultimately winning the ticket to our freedom. Enjoy the post-game partying with our team-customized sports water bottle, a soccer-themed cupcake and snack, and some fan gear.
