Va Bene (NYC) served (serves?) a caprese that was the most astonishingly good thing I have ever eaten (or at least in the top ten!)
Blackberry Cafe had a fabulous dish of breaded, fried eggplant medallions with a garlic yogurt dip. I've tried to replicate it at home and while it doesn't taste AS good it is still marvelous.
In general I like to try the wildest thing on the menu (BH squid is not kosher so I am safe :-)

Restaurant style sesame chicken. My family loves it and all the recipes I've found don't make the sauce the way it tastes when we go out to eat.
