I loved my sem, actually. But when I went I have already had a long stretch of yiddishkeit life under my belt, so I loved the learning but didnt freak out there as some of the fresh BT girls there did. I was grounded enough already to decide where I wanted to be and where I wanted to go.
So it was not a brainwash experience, even though it may have been for some of the other girls (some of the fresh BT there frummed and freaked out completely).
Also at my sem we had a considerable amount of teachers who are BT themselves. Who told us to stay on the ground and not flip out.
For me it was the most amazing time in my life.
