what are chicken bottoms! (dare I ask LOL ) sounds yum though...

cereal and milk...familiar new mommy dish!
You made chulent by Thursday? that's organized...(I don't mean to pick apart your menu, Beauty...but I always like to see what you posted because I like your food style)

Well, my week did NOT go according to plan. I was feeling tired and run down, suffered from pregnant brain and kept forgetting to prepare ahead and alot of chaotic things happened...Made a pea soup on Sunday that lasted the whole week (but dh doesn't even want to look at it now!)..what can I say..soup is the ultimate side dish

Sunday: wanted to experiment with homemade ravioli, but had back pain so had spaghetti and split pea soup instead.
Monday: gnocchi and split pea soup
Tuesday: Panic dinner! Didn't make the prep in time because I fell asleep in the afternoon. but I made a cream sauce out of oil, flour and water to pour on pasta, with sauteed veggies. threw in a can of tuna and had on the side...you guessed it..SPLIT PEA SOUP! Twisted Evil
Wednesday...I barely remember this one...Spanish rice and tempura veggies (Japanese and Spanish don't go together, I know, but I ran out of ginger for the Chinese fried rice and had no chicken) LAST of the SPLIT PEA SOUP-- ADIEU!!
Thursday: Was going to make falafel, but had more back pain and didn't cook the chick peas. Had some homemade tortillas in the freezer, added tomato sauce and cheese and made little pizzas...turned out really nice ! b'h...with fries on the side.

What can I say? I usually like to plan, but this week was improvisation week!

mimi, ur so cute! thanks for the compliment.

but why don't u calm down a bit a take a little lead from my new mommy menu and copy it for a while? like cereal and milk... easy chicken dishes... I have mommy brain ( never went away from both pregnancies, and it's only getting worse. so bad that I cannot remember family members names, and such. I think I am gonna start a new thread ont his, lol!!!)
if you are preg, bh, why are u making yourself crazy with wanting to make falafel and all that? it is hard. take care of urself now. make easy things.

btw, another mommy brain thing is, I didnt know if u were serious about not knowing what chicken bottoms are. I can be very guillible sometimes... LOL

dh likes falafel and when I plan ahead and make lists, it really isn't so hard! Just 15 minutes actual grinding and frying time...

I didn't have chicken this week, but I will look at the mommy menu...

I'm making alot from scratch because food prices are INSANE! Convenience foods are out (pretty soon, bagels and pitas are going to be considered convenience foods for us) But cereal is always a good option.

I haven't heard the term chicken bottoms...I didn't know they had bottoms...although they do put diapers on them sometimes for Kapporos (sorry for making the menu thread unappetizing)
