Why would you say something like this, if a poster here says that she and her husband rely on this hechsher and eat this brand? It's beyond rude.

Thanks for your compassion, but I wasn't at all offended. Looking over today's posts alone, we see many different poskim quoted with opposing views about women making havdala, sx on Shabbos 9 Av, kids and fasting, and more.

Eilu v'eilu. I'm sorry to have raised anyone's hopes too soon.

May we all find joy in what unites us, while still respecting differences.

Your food all sounds delish.

Slice up zucchini (I like to make it circles) , pour in a nice amount of tomato sauce (should be well covered). Cook on stove top until soft. Stir in cheese (I don't have any amount- whatever you feel comfortable - I add muenster of mozzarella depending what I have, I never use american). Add some oregano. You can totally add whatever you want to the sauce, whatever appeals to your pallet.

I am so impressed. I don't know how you all do this.
We are eating (dairy/pareve) leftovers. I have no strength to make anything new while fasting today.

Leftovers from seudah shlishit. Or, rather, the second half of the double portion I cooked on Friday with intent to serve it for both meals.

. Today's realfeel was 111 degrees Fahrenheit --why on earth would I cook? If we had finished.off the whole thing yesterday, I would still not cook for tonight.

Bread, cottage cheese, yogurt, juice, cereal and milk, fresh fruit, raw veggies, tinned fish if anyone can handle that kind of protein after a fast...w.hat more does anyone need?

Besides even if it were cool enough to cook, this meal is not a celebratory feast. We are still technically mourning through Monday . Were we able, we would be expected to fast both days. We fast only one because we're not physically capable of fasting two. So it's rather inappropriate to make a fuss over the break - fast .

I understand that there will be disagreement here and there on this web site however not all disagreements need to be published in a public forum. One can always Private message someone if they require clarification or disagree.

It is so easy to embarrass someone in this forum and I try my best to be very careful of feelings.

I made a big batch of waffle batter to make dinner for the kids around 7pm.

Used the same batter to make waffles for DH and me, served with fresh strawberries. Leftover challah and dips, yogurt from the fridge or cereal if anyone wanted more food.

HOW DO SO MANY OF YOU COOK AND EAT SO MUCH??
