So this thread prompted me to take another look at Children's Place and a lot of their dresses are marked down enough that I'm thinking of splurging on one dress per kiddo. They both have things left over from hand-me-downs or previous seasons but not all so great and with a Shabbos chol hamoed it feels like a lot of yomtov coming up. And I'll probably buy a little big this season and hope some takes us through Tishrei YT season too. Why am I trying to justify my purchasing here? I don't know.
Question is: Which of the Children's Place dresses should I try?! After years of losing hope for them altogether, suddenly there are a whole bunch that look nice! I'm optimistic that sizing up will work with the length, because we've done it in the past, a little loose can be kept in with the sashes. Here's what I'm looking at:
http://www.childrensplace.com/.....-1128 - I'm not so into black-and-white but it is a pretty design, and the price is right.
http://www.childrensplace.com/.....-1328 - I don't love the design as much but it's similar to the other one without being black-and-white.
http://www.childrensplace.com/.....-1328 Yet another variation on the same theme but mysteriously more expensive. Still on the affordable side, when you try not to think about the matching shells/sweaters...
http://www.childrensplace.com/.....-1001 This looks really pretty but also appear like they might run shorter.
http://www.childrensplace.com/.....-1338 I like the color and the price, not sure about the zig-zags.
What's with all the lace?! Looks hard to maintain But hey, when Children's Place has potentially classy tzniusdik dresses under $15 you don't ask too many questions...

I saw this was shown earlier in the thread. Does anyone have it and know if it is heavy or not. If I can put on a baby boy without anything underneath for the summer?

I hadn't checked back on this post in a while. Thanks for the suggestions. I particularly like the coral dresses. I'm going to order them and see if they fit.

I dunno, can you even do anything with that style? Why not just get a bigger dress and have it taken in if too wide?

I would make the second skirt into a second tier for the dress. Use a piece of light weight fabric attached to the top of the skirt (make it as long as the extra length you need) and the sew it to the inside of the waist of the dress. This does mean that the second dress probably needs to be the same size as the first so that it won't be too small around the top.
Did you follow that?
ETA you might also want to remove some of the 'extra' layers from the dress skirt so that it doesn't get too puffy.

Yes, those sizes make sense. Do you sew or are you taking it to a seamstress?

What's your price range? I just got really adorable ones from Coco Blanc for $30. They're kinda like leggings material.
