Would you appreciate a baby perfume as a baby gift?

No! Babies don't need perfume and it may even irritate them
I honesty don't know why such a thing is on the market

No.
I received it and it's still sitting in my closet. I can barely tolerate perfume on myself- so I can't imagine putting it on a baby.

I received 3 as baby presents. I use it as air freshener. If I want my baby to smell good I would give a bath or spray a drop of one of my flowery perfumes on the diaper.

Thanks- I hear you. I'd just like to point out that it's not made to be used directly on the baby's skin and not meant for every day use. Most, if not allof them, are alcohol free and have a mild scent.

I got one as a gift and barely used it. Maybe once or twice. If I want my baby to smell good put him on baby lotion.

Frankly I find it an absurd product, almost surreal when I think about it. I'm really interested in the individuals who would purchase such a product. Don't they think that babies may have allergies to scents like adults? How bad do their infants smell if they must be perfumed?
Frankly to me there is nothing like the fragrance of a baby. Scent is one of the most evocative of senses. If I'm holding a baby I immediately dip my head to smell theirs, and then get lost in a cloud of memories about my own when she was that small.

Never heard of it before now, and no, definitely not. My baby was sensitive to a lot of things.
If it's not meant to be put on the skin, how is it used? Like air freshener or on fabric like febreze? I don't use anything like that, and they would be marginally appropriate gifts at best.

Nope. I received 2 for my first baby and three for my second baby. They sat around until I could regift it. I have one left. Anyone want a Burberry one?

From what I gather, most of you would not appreciate that as a gift. Thanks for all the responses!
Any other ideas for a baby gift other than an outfit, blanket, or toys?

No way. We received some designer perfume and never once used it. Why would I want to replace the delicious smell of a newborn baby with anything else?????

I like this idea- where do you usually purchase them?

I got one by first child and I still use it. (Quite a while ago.)
