I love Shai (gift)as well, although if Ariel is too secular for you Shai will definitely be. I live in Israel and know way more frum Ariels and only a few dati leumi Shais (we are dati leumi), but the DL community in Israel tends to use the same names as secular people with a few exceptions-basically they are just as likely to use Oren and Roi as they are Akiva.
