OP doesn't have a reading problem. She appears to have a time issue.

OP the best thing to do is to take off work and go down at 8:30 am to the FS office on 4th Street. Get an appt with a caseworker and hand in all your paperwork there. You can ask them to make sure you have everything, photocopy it and give you back your originals. Sometimes this can take 15 minutes, sometimes longer.

If you do it this way, they have to write down that you came and brought your info. Even if they delay the filing they will have to give you the benefits retroactively since you have proof that it was brought in.

If you expecting or have a medical reason why this would be a need, your husband can go down and request that they send someone to your home to complete the recertification.
