I don't think just covering is enough. I know this is in jest, but it's really not enough.
you have to clean. covering is a hiddur.

I say everyone review the halachos from inside and see what really is expected with regards to cleaning. So many people just go way beyond...and do so much halachically unecessary stuff. I think I'll start maybe a month in advance this year. There is no mitzvah to drive oneself insane to the point where they collapse at the seder.
