I love the animal pics,
the lion is gorgeous, that duck picture is amazing!

I'll share some pictures too, although unfortunately my really good ones are not digital, so I can't share them.

This one was taken 60 ft underwater, the background is a shipwreck.

this was taken in the same trip...someplace above the shipwreck.

apple I bet you could take some gorgeous pics where you live.

As for me.. I love looking at good photography, but not taking...thats dh's job.

Kmelion, (I have to get used to your new name now) I love your pics. Especially the shuk ones. I'm a city girl so I prefer busy happening city pictures to the (also gorgeous) scenery ones!

And mugsisme, I think yours are amazing too! they look like the ones in dh's digital photography book.

I've got another idea for a a money making venture: take pictures of jewish themes - you know, apple and honey, pomegranates, dreidles, matzos, still lifes or action pictures (child blowing shofar). You could sell them to Jewish magazines and orginisations.

One way of doing this would be thru a website. I know we sometimes buy pictures from a website called corbis. You pay (not a huge amount, a few dollars) to be able to use one of their photos.

There is also a great website: istockphoto.com - you can sell and buy pictures there. They have jewish pictures too.

mugsisme, that's gorgeous! You look good yourself. Smile I love how the background in that pic is blurred. I can't seem to do that unless I am focusing on something very near.

Gigi, who is that in the pic? Don't tell me YOU took it! Whoa, 60 feet...

I also enjoy taking pics...I used to do it a lot more before I was married, using film...I enjoy the darkroom work more than the actual picture taking.

however, I still enjoy photography a lot. I photograph mostly people (particularly my kids). I use a nikon d50 w/ a 28-80mm lens (I have others but dont' use them much).

lets see if I can upload some photos

Oh, Gigi, they are so sweet!

PS, to answer some questions... I have the Kodak C360. Not the best, definitely not professional, but serves us well.

My husband does video production and a lot of special effects involve still photographs so he got the Canon Rebel. He also has a Canon powershot (not sure which model) but after using and seeing the results of the rebel I just cant use the powershot anymore.
For those of you that want to buy a professional camera or additional lenses but dont want to spend a lot, my husband buys all of his video and photo equipment from the B & H used department. The stuff there is tested and retested by them so you get the same thing as new but a lot cheaper.

He got some really nice of pictures of the manhatten skyline at night in september when the memorial beams are up but I cant find it rite now.

shif, I'm not sure you can do that from snapfish, as far as I know they don't provide you with a link to copy and paste, but I see now that gigi gave u instructions, I never tried that.
I'm quite into photography.
I like to take nature pictures, trees, the sky, s/times I sit on a bus to the city and I just have to snap a picture on the way, bec. the sky happens to be a beautiful color, but I'm embarrased to do it in front of ppl.
I also like to take pictures of things, nice food, tables with goodies, and ppl.
ppl. s/times ask me to take pictures at events bec. I'm pretty good at it.
I have a Sony DSC N1. it has a 3 inch touch screen and some pretty cool features.
and when I buy a camera, I buy every imaginable gadget that I can find for it.
it has a rubber glove, to protect it if it falls down
I bought a screen protector as well.
I also have a dicapac waterproof case for it so if I want I can take pictures under the water, as it is double sealed and also has an extending piece so I can use the zoom while it's in the bag.
this is the waterproof case

I never actually tried taking such close ups, never thought it could be so nice, I will IY"H try to take some closeups.
mugisme and e/one else your pictures are all beautiful.
I'm gonna post a whole lot of pictures which are nice, mostly nature, but some from a tenoyim and some from San Diego.

San Diego

San Diego

Roller coaster in S. Diego

Sea World

trees and skies taken while on the road

Trees of ice

Sunset

Colorful trees

Ice cream in a bowl of Ice

cake

another cake

My sister made this cake for my other sister's Tenoyim, but I took the picture

some delicious bagels and breads at a breakfast for an upsherin

I know, I know, theyre not as nice as e/one elses, but that's all I got for now
