my family is rebbish. I only lit from after my wedding but all the cousins lit at bas mitzva

I light according to my mother, starting with 2 and adding one for each child, and my children will do the same when they get married iy"H.

But the lighting as a little girl was my father's minhag (not my mother's), and for my children, it's distinctly not their father's minhag. As much as I think it's a beautiful minhag, it's not something I want to make into a big deal since I know DH would be very against it.
