I vote for something for their house as well. Something to enhance their shabbos table? Something for their kitchen?
Or a homegoods gift card. Can be used in tjmaxxnir marshalls.
Something personalized?
Really your safe with house things.
If your getting personal I would hand pick for each one what you think would suit them best. Otherwise house seems safe.

Any monogrammed gift is usually nice. Like hand towels, pitcher, shot glasses…

I hate cookbooks. I have so many that I don't use, gifted to me over the years.

Is a cookbook enough classy?

Define "Classy." Do you mean "Something that looks more expensive than it really is"? "Something that gives the impression that this is a woman who is well-off enough to have a live-in housekeeper so her contribution to the running of the household is limited to decorating and planning menus"? "Something you would see in the home of an ishah chashuvah"?

A cookbook full of recipes for dishes made with cornflakes and week-old bread is probably not classy. A shul sisterhood cookbook is not classy. (Doesn't mean you shouldn't give it. You don't have to get all hung up on "Classy" whatever the term means to you.) A coffee-table cookbook full of food-p*rn photographs and recipes calling for champagne, rib steaks, exotic spices available only through upscale catalogs, edible flowers and gold leaf? Very classy. Also not very likely to be used much unless your girls are that type IYKWIM.

My mil has bought a few of each of the new cookbooks and each daughter/dil could pick the one they liked. Was fun for us and she bought where she could return the extras.
