I have the Black and Decker FP1400 Plus and it gets worse each year. Today it shredded a piece and self destructed. Did anybody get a good one in NY recently that they can recommend?

You can call the Buzz Electronics. They can recommend a food processor that is good...

Thanks. I got this one at the Buzz, it was the "bargain" that year and didn't work out so well for me.
The Buzz is great but is such a madhouse these days - you need to go in knowing what you want. I never got any nachas from this one and I am looking for one that someone is happy with.

my advice is - don't look for a bargain in a food processor. been there done that. if you can, splurge and get a Braun. it's about $100.00.
I also didn't want to spend so much on "just" a pesach processor and got a cheaper one. I am really not enjoying it and I think it would've been worth it to buy the braun but of course I'm not just going out to buy one - gotta wait till it finally breaks. I have the braun for all year and am very happy with it.
in general, I've found that when buying appliances, it's worth spending more and getting better stuff.
