Well I skipped the abx route for pandas and went straight to paying 800 for homeopathy. To pay that for abx is crazy, yes.

Are you seeing success with homeopathy? Can you share who you're using? Thx

I started with them bc that's what people hVe said - they did abx then functional then homeopathy. Bh lots of improvements and almost back to normal.

Wow. Is there anywhere I could first have my child diagnosed before shelling out that kind of money? I don’t even know if it’s pandas. Why is such a common thing on imamother so complicated to get helped and diagnosed irl?

Good question.

Except this is 800$ for allopathic treatment of receiving antibiotics. No healing. No immune support. No inflammation lowering or closing the BBB...

If pandas is truly untreated strep then antibiotics make sense.

It is strange that pandas is so prevalent on imamother but basically unheard of everywhere else.

Did you get a diagnosis before you started working with them?

My daughters diagnosis is adhd not pandas. Only reason I’m even looking at pandas is because of this site. I guess doing the bloodwork can’t hurt.

Audrey can definitely do the diagnostic tests. She did it for my child while working at Dr Schulman. She's at Ezra at the 38 st location.

OP keep in mind that there are actually no diagnostic tests that definitively rule pandas in or out. At the end of the day for various complicated reasons and until there’s a reliable biomarkers it remains a clinical diagnosis. Bloodwork is great, can be very helpful, provide a lot of clues and direction for treatment, but if any doctor tells you they ran bloods and it came back negative for pandas, they unfortunately aren’t as informed as they should be. We went to a top pandas specialist who diagnosed us at our first visit based on clinical presentation, videos, oral history. Labs came after.

He was extremely expensive and if you’re going to spend the money I would recommend going elsewhere. Happy to share recommendations in the area.

She’s a regular incredible pediatrician. It was a long time ago, she treated him with antibiotics. 2 or 3 rounds.
