You're describing my 6 year old!!! He barely sleeps, and is really not emotionallly regulated!! I think its pandas

If this helps, been there done that. There's light at the end of the tunnel though. Dd is much older now and bh outgrew the hour long tantrums.
Some tips you might find helpful:
Try to avoid triggers. Before the tantrum can even take place.
When it does happen, try to disconnect emotionally. Think of it as a passing phase and declare in a calm voice: Mommy doesn't change her mind if you kick and scream.
The following might not work for everyone but worked for us. We spoke about the tantrums before during and after. And called it that. With time she became too embarrassed to start a tantrum when she realized what it was.

Very cool, I wonder if that would work on parents' tantrums (yelling) too.
