I work in healthcare. We are open. I get a certain number of days for the year. Why would I waste one today when I could save it for YT /CHM or actually vacation when we are going somewhere?

I'm off. No real reason except that it's an excuse to force ourselves to take a break since we're supposed to get off a certain amount in the summer in my job but we're too busy to take it all.
But my baby is home with me so it's not like some other years when I could accomplish a lot (my kids are in camp)
I was married like 15 years before I had a day off that everyone else was out of the house.

Of course I'm working! Client meeting at 11 with a family planning a kitchen remodel, and then plans to complete for other clients. B"H there aren't enough hours in the day for me get all my work done.
But DH has the day off unless I put him to work sending out invoices for my business. This afternoon he is taking one of our grandkids out for ice cream, and I'm making fried chicken and corn on the cob for dinner.

My boss would want to be open but the type of business it is involves contacting non jews who don't appreciate being called on their day off. He tried once it didnt go well. Besides for health care does your business only interact with other jews?

My husband is working. He's paid by the hour so the more hours he works, the more we gain and he doesn't have a need to take off. No extra pay per hour for working today...
Neither did I have when I worked in a frum office.
