Depends on the year. This year we are very tight financially so it's 3 per kid. Other years it was 7 per kid.

Does it not end up costing more because you do laundry more frequently?

Enough to last the whole season wearing each outfit only once or twice. Big hand me down fan here plus buying on my own

I always wished they’d invent disposable clothes to get rid of LAUNDRY once and for all. I can’t believe people actually live that way though.

I buy max 7, usually less.

I have 5-6 "real outfits" that I either buy or are hand me downs that look new

Then I have a bunch of fillers - hand me downs that are a drop worn, clothing from the previous year that fits.....

I am so blind to fashion that I don't really buy "outfits" so we end up with tons and tons of hand me downs or random pieces of clothing. I wish I was disciplined enough to do laundry on a schedule and have just a handful of outfits.

Enough for every day. Uniform skirts 2 at a time because they don't really get dirty.

I am Surprised Surprised
I was going to say, where's the option for less than 4?
My younger kids have 3 weekday outfits each, older ones 2. My teens collect over the years so they have more.

I'm not saying this negatively at all. I just honestly can't fathom dealing with 20+ outfits per kid. I get very overwhelmed by clutter. I'd have to buy a house to keep them in!

I only have baby/toddlers so 7/8 weekday outfits so that I only need to do washing once a week + one more. Once they're in uniforms I'd probably get about 3 winter outfits and 7 summer ones.

How are you so on top of laundry to do this? Is this aside from uniforms?

I wish everyone would post where they live and what society they associate with. These things are so culture dependent. Really every post I get the same feeling. I get 4 weekday outfits for winter because they wear uniform. 8-10 in the summer. But each outfit is costly and no hand me downs.

Your little kids wear the same thing every 3 days?
I feel like id always be doing laundry, and is it good for clothes to be washed so often?
Do you buy expensive clothing?
I buy cheap target type and buy 1- 2 weeks worth

My kids don't have uniforms. I do 3 washes a day. Dark, white, and either underwear or colored. I don't buy delicate stuff. It all goes washer, dryer and back on. So much easier than spending hours and hours folding and organizing laundry.

Why does it matter if it's good for the clothes? I only buy cheap, they last a season, I often hand down as well. I have some clothes that I've passed through 4 kids. If they wear out because they are washed often, I replace. It still ends up cheaper and more convenient than buying 7 outfits at the beginning of the season.

Kids in uniform or uniform season, 2 other outfits

Kids not in uniform or in uniform season, enough to get through a week (5-6)

What happens if one or two get stained, torn, or suddenly outgrown? Run to the store? Wow that would give me so much anxiety
