Yes I had interview and got in next morning. U need to call and call. They said they were very full already

Did you have to reach out to them for the interview or did they reach out to you? This is my first time dealing with boy's yeshivas so I'm so clueless.

They reached out to me. But I did ask them to confirm they got my application and I sent it right away the first day

So they confirmed my application which I sent back right away, but I haven't heard from them. Guess I'll try to reach out.

Just curious about the velvet yarmulka rule. Is that a common school rule? What's the idea? Is it considered more formal?

I send there too. I heard that there was a kid who was coming with not such conservative blue/black yarmulkas so they made the rule. I wasn't so happy about it in the beginning but you eventually get used to it.

Shoes are a mix of Nike/Adidas/Under armour black and white sneakers and some boys are in dark colored shoes/sneakers
