Really? Seriously? A snack you will miss? Banging head

I weirdly enough find your comment more offensive than the thread. It's feels almost like we should boycott Israel because of the war, our country has to be just about our dead and not our living? I live in Israel and davka now is the perfect time to think about the wonderful things our little country creates Heart

To answer the question, if I wasn't here I would definitely miss the milchig rogelach from Marzipan, made with real butter. The new flavors of chips etc. are always fun to try.

After eating Israeli chocolate treats, Hersheys doesn’t taste good at all. Most American food to me isn’t as good.

I love Yellow Doritos but my family loves the green.

I love how fresh foods are here, the chicken, meat and fish.

The only American products we still buy are mayonnaise, soy sauce and licorice.

I just thoughg your reply was unnecessary and a bit over the top for such a pareve topic as snacks.

Yay! The big ones shaped in half a watermelon. Like a soft sorbet type of ice lolly? I don't remember seeing them last time but maybe I was just going for the proper good ice creams.

It's yummy, I have them in my freezer right now, we bought them at Yesh. I've seen them in big supermarkets.

Cottage cheese!!! Best in the entire world!! When we were there, my three year old would eat a full container (they're small compared to American size, but still...) in one sitting!

The pizza spice that comes with the pizza.

It isn't a thing here in the UK and it's something I dream about when I'm pregnant LOL

Did you ever try the Israeli Maya Pizza spice? I wonder if it tastes the same as the small packets? Its popular in Israel.

I also randomly crave the chocolate filled bamba. They have it here but its not as fresh.
When I was in sem they did a special run of the choc filled bamba with popping candy!!! It was amazing! Do they still have it?

I haven't seen the popping candy filled bamba seems unique and yummy. You can Google the chocolate filled bamba there are several Israeli companies that sell the fresh Chocolate filled bamba online & ship worldwide.

Schlep popcorn to America sounds like a total joke to me LOL
On the more serious side I *just don't get it* into my head why on earth people would BUY ready made popcorn when one can prepare it in a pot within a few minutes. Sorry ladies but the world 'lazy' crosses my mind.
Guess I'm too old to simply get it

Favorite snack, not sure, maybe froyo.
Other big things I miss are the sauce they give to dip pizza crust in and Israeli grape juice.

I have a recipe for rotev pizza, if you’d like. I spent forever perfecting it

The price of a big fresh made bag of popcorn in Israel is just around $1.50 that's why people buy them. The smell when it's freshly made in the supermarket or snack stores is heavily as well. Hope that answers your curiosity.
