This thread has too much fighting between Team TP and Team Wipes and not enough between Team Wipes and Team Bidet. Because on the surface, we seem to have the same goal: to achieve true cleanliness. But Team Wipes seems to want to achieve this with less convenience and less regard for the environment.

Haha agree, Team Bidet!

Guys. Just use wet toilet paper. Done.

The problem is that toilet paper is meant to disintegrate quickly when wet versus wipes which stay intact when wet.

This is why wipes should NEVER be flushed because they don't disintegrate and cause massive problems for pipes as well as municipal sewage systems.

But I can't imagine life without my Toto washlet bidet - soothing warm water. Mine has an adjustable knob (among other features) so I can use it to clean the vulva which is especially nice when I have my period. Plus it wets down the toilet bowl when I approach so it is essentially self cleaning.

You can also wipe first with tp and then after your clean, wipe with a wipe. The wipe goes into the garbage basically clean. Win win.

Apparently in high school when I davened I said the whispered words way too loudly. I feel like disappearing when I think about it and wonder why my friends didn’t tell me? (Or a teacher?)

Prepare my kids clothing in a nest pile the night before. I still think it would be nice but have no idea where I had time or brain cells for that (hey they should consider themselves lucky it’s all clean in their closet. Or on not such good days all clean in a basket) though….. can’t say I like what one kid put on today and it didn’t match the pant very well so hmmmm

And saves you so much time!
You do your business, pull up your pants and you never have to be busy wiping or with hand washing...

Sorry, my fault. Yes I was joking.

I can’t believe I used to wrap the chicken soup n a blanket and put it back in the bed on Friday night to keep it hot, instead of just wrapping it and keeping it on the counter

This thread is hilarious. Am I the only one who doesn’t own toilet paper? It’s so flimsy, the kids unravel it, I just don’t like the look! It’s only tissues for us!! I def see the benefit of wipes on occasion, but leaving them in the garbage is utterly gross. I would be so nauseous to see/smell that in my bathroom. Anything toilet related should stay in the toilet. Pads/tampons/diapers should get thoroughly wrapped or bagged into the garbage can.
