I can't comment on the new tape, but as far as his previous tapes of original material- although the sound is sometimes non jewish (like in Gelt), the words (which he writes) have a lot of tochen.

And like I posted earlier, his "L'eila u'l'eila" is beautiful, appropriate for the frumest home.

I'll have to agree about that rapper.
I was grossed out by the whole thing
and had the same question about the neckline.

I prefer matsiyahu then that (but still not my style)

I've seen kinderlach on the actual cd before and I think its cute but I still have the same question.
if matisyahu is not fit for ffb children to be exposed to then as you said before then why something like that? I love that moshiach song but lets face it, it's style is not exactly emulating jewish style

Lucky, I can't believe you are saying that.. lol..
Whoever heard the new tape... this was after redoing it like 3,4 times.. he was told to remove alot of the rapping... they said it was too jazzy, so I can just imagine how it looked before..

and I agree that he has a lot of other songs that have tochen in them.. it's not the words as much as the way he sings it.... and can you tell me hoow yiddish Abi M'lebt is??? does it really sound that yiddish when you see him saying... a whim a whah.

no, that song is not at all yiddish-sounding (except for the language), but "a bi m'lebt" is a good Jewish message!

however many, many of his songs do have a yiddishe taam, which is a lot more than I can say for some other stuff that passes for Jewish music these days Rolling Eyes
