Does anyone know if she does speaking engagements or how to get in touch with her?
Our community may be interested in having her come to our annual women's event as the speaker, if she is interested.

I think she does speak at events.
I don't know if I should just give out her phone number though.

If she is willing, please give her my email address (it sounds like you know her). I totally understand the need for privacy.

(I don't know her...she lives in my community though. [I did know her father ,and I know her brother...] It's just that it's easy for me to check up her number....shouldn't really be too hard for you either And it sounds like people do call her for interviews/to speak. I think if you do the Googling and get her number yourself, she'll be fine with it )

Yup. Goldstein. In Baltimore.
If you get desperate pm me cause I'm friends with the family (so I can call her mom here in Israel).
And if you DO get her, pm me and you can give her a big hug from me (or just find my name through my profile).

I called up a number I found in an article from 2005 for a social worker who had something to do with her. Hopefully the social worker will call back.
I've got to stop having ideas! I always get 'volunteered' to research the ideas if the higher ups like them.

It's a great idea. She's something special - Devorah and a very, very poised and good speaker. I think she's teaching 5th grade now.

We were next door neighbors in Bayit Vegan. I love that family. Used to meet the most interesting people at their Shabbos table...

She was mega-busy yesterday. She was one of the organizers of an 800+ attendees dinner! and she did a FABULOUS job
She's very easy to talk to so don't chicken out!

wow! I wish I could hear her speak, I remember reading her book as a child and being amazed and in awe of her story, that is so sad that her father passed on. was he very young?

He was very young. Early sixties, I think. Sad doesn't begin to describe it. You have never met a nicer, warmer and more caring person (except for his wife). And the amount of kiruv they always did.... special family.
