Simple but very good. Peel and cube sweet potatoes. Toss with some oil and salt. In a 425 degree oven, bake about 35-45 min. until tender and slightly roasted.

apple kugel: grate red and green apples, add pinch of salt, eggs and ground nuts and bake!!! great hot or cold as side dish or desert!

homemade applesauce: peel and cut up sweet apples (macintosh etc) and cook on low heat for a few hours with a little water on the bottom of pot. No sugar necessary. You can throw in a few strawberries if you'd like.

no, no sugar. ( I would add some on top if usisng for dessert, u can even paint it with some eggwash with sugar and sprinkle some ground caramelized nuts etc.... use you imagination!!!
a cool salad that I never tried: cucumber half slices, grapefruit, pomegranate seeeds, salt lemon oil!!

if you like beets make a beet salad with onions, potatoes, carrots, salt, lemon juice and oil/olive oil.
add some ground pepper if you use it.
