BTW, I wasn't really wasn't a huge TV watcher (our parents severely limited us), I just have a strange memory for commercials.

Yup! You guessed right pickle and daisy.

Daisy, now you see the power of a catchy phrase or tune. Some overpaid ad exec stayed up for 2 weeks straight playing around with alka seltzer pills till he came up with "Plop Plop Fizz Fizz oh what a relief it is" ... and the rest is history... A whole generation can't get it out of their head. (I just made that up, but that's often how these things happen.)

That ad agency deserves every penny they made for coming up with something so catchy and memorable.

most of them don't do their job (for me anyway). There are plenty of ads that I recognize, but can't even remember the actual product!
