I cannot believe there is a whole thread here with people advising the OP on how her husband can defraud whoever it is he owes money to.
The answer is, OP, tell your husband to pay back the money he owes. Especially if it's the government. They'll find a way to take your assets, and I don't blame them one little bit.

This is not a thread on how to commit fraud. It is not a thread on how to cover up fraud.
Op is in a situation not of her making. She wants to avoid fraud. Giving her advice to see a debtor/creditor attorney is not telling to commit fraud. She has certain rights. She is entitled to protect them.
How dare you make your libelous accusations.

I AM a lawyer and many of the posters hear are commiting the unauthorized practice of law by posting their opinions--
AND
much of what has been posted here is WRONG!!!!!!
Many lawyers will give a consult at no charge--call the New York State Bar Association or the New York County Lawyers Association, or the Association of the Bar of the City of New York for a referral.
NO lawyer who doesn't want to be disbarred would give you advice in a forum such as this!!!!
And shame on all of you who give advice when you DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!
