Apple crumble
Crumble:
4 cups potato flour
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
Pinch salt
2 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
4 tsp baking powder (optional)
Filling:
8 - 10 apples
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup water
Combine the crumble ingredients with your fingers to form crumbs. Do not over mix. Set aside 1/4 of the crumble. Divide the remaining crumbs between 2 pans making sure to cover the bottom of the pan. Combine the filling ingredients and set over the crumbs. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over the filling.
Bake for 40-50 min at 180.
To prevent apple wedges from turning brown, soak
in lemon juice for 10 min. |
also, what does it mean two pans? are these small pans? can I use one large 9x13 pan?

It was a real waste of potato starch, time, etc. |
I had the same experience, but I think my ratio of crumble to apples was off. I was thinking of making it again this year and using much less crumble.
