My apologies for the margarine!

Brownie layer:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup marg.
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Mix sugar and marg. adding eggs one at a time. Beat in chocolate syrup and then flour. Beat until smooth. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely

Mocha layer
1 stick marg
1 1/2 tsp. coffee disolved in 2 T. hot water
1/2 T. chocolate syrup
2 cup confectioners sugar
Beat until creamy. Spread over cooled brownies. Cool.

Choc topping:
6 T. marg
1 cup chocolate chips

melt in top of double boiler (or in microwave) until smooth. Pour over mocha layer.

chill until chocolate is set. Then cut into pieces. Keep chilled, if left at room temp it will get mushy.
_(This is the same recipe as the mint brownies, with the mocha changes. I made it this past week and they were a hit.)

Sounds delicious! Don't forget about the PB ones as well...

BTW, if anyone wants a really easy brownie recipe (no marg or chocolate syrup) that works great with this recipe, let me know and I'll post it.

Mmmm sounds good.
Do think I have ever used choc syrup for a recipe (1 1/2 cups) but maybe I will give this a try this Shabbos.
Your stuff is always a hit, cookielady, I trust you on this one!
I may skip the layer of choc on top, depends on my mood.

curlytop, don't skip the choc on top, it finishes it off so nicely - otherwise the creamy layer is too sickly. JMHO.

Here's the brownie recipe. I make it in a mixer and just add everything and let it beat for about 4 minutes until it's nice and creamy. If you're making it by hand, I guess you'd have to mix it well.

Easy Brownies:

2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup oil
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Bake @ 350 until seems done. I take it out a little early so they stay nice and chewy. Makes a 9x13 pan.

drumjj, I don't know what type you can get there. What I use is the chocolate syrup one would use to make chocolate milk.

That sounds good. I am going to give it a try. Better yet, I'll have my dd try it out.
