It's not a big guy with "momma" on his arm, it's a sweet little heimish lady with her mother in her heart.

My mother got mascara from sephora (not sure of the name) that tints your lashes for a few days. It lasts about 3 or 4 days.

I think people look much better without makeup than they do with makeup that's too overdone in the hopes that it will stay on through Shabbos.
It also looks bad the next day when the Covergirl Outlast (or whatever brand of stay on lipstick they use) starts to look patchy and peeling, and when the mascara and eyeshadow is all smudged.

didn't read through all 4 pages - but I think something irreversible would be worrisome cause you can't go back and take it off ... I know not the halacha but my opinion just on a mood basis

Some Rabbanim allow it, a lot of them do not.
It's not a tattoo, so that is not the problem.
The issue is if the woman is before menopause.

Very old thread.
OP, what did you end up buying/doing?
Which products work for you?

I agree it is gross to sleep in eye makeup but different people have different tolerance/ with sensitive skin.
I also want to add regardless of what brands of makeup you choose that you can always buy a small brush and apply a dark eye shadow like liner to neaten up any areas that got messed up while you slept.

On Shabbos?
Afaik, on Shabbos the only thing you can add, is the identical powder product, and only in the exact shade you applied previously, and only if you didnt use any non-Shabbos makeup in that area of your face. Otherwise youre blending different colors and/or textures.
