I am making a birthday cake for my brother in law's 30th. I made two large cakes and froze them, and I am going to cut one into a 3 and the other into a 0. I have all the decorations that I want to put on the cake but I don't know how to ice/frost it. I would like it to be the kind that you pour on but it dried kind of hard and smooth, not a soft fluffy icing.
Anyone have any ideas for a recipe?
Is there someway to make it with marshmallow fluf - I happen to have one that I would love to use up.
TIA.

you can make a chocolate ganache glaze by melting chocolate chips and adding in some rich's whip (not whipped) - it soften it as dries without cracking ...
or else you can make or buy some fondant that you roll out and fit to the shape ...

Thanks Green. My friend told me to make an opaque royal icing. Do you have any experience with that type of icing?
