...or how about family members who sit on their behind and behave like a guest throughout the meal, and do nothing and when havdalla is made and we start cleaning up they suddenly rush home?

if we have a meal with my in-laws and parents (we don't do this often!), my in-laws treat my mom like she's a waitress!

That's when I started making the sedarim and YomTov meals at home.
I couldn't take the squashed potato , the crumbled matzah all over the floor crunching and mashing under my feet, from assorted neices, and nephews b"h, who's mothers didn't clean up after them. My mother was so busy with serving, and it was definitely not her job to wipe up, but the babies' parents never thought to wipe up any of the mess while it was happening. 
there is no excuse for not wiping up your child's spills immediately. If you are nursing the baby while this is going on, immediately means as soon as you finish nursing.
