I once had a not sweet lokshen kugel with sauteed onions in it at s/o's house and it was delicious. Does anyone have such a recipe? TIA

I make this all the time and it's yummy
2 large onions sauteed in generous amount of oil
one bag cooked thin lokshen
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
mix all ingredients pour in pan (size smaller than 9x13) bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour

There's a recipe for mock yerushalmi kugel that's circulated widely, where you boil water, sugars, marg. etc, turn off water and put noodles in for ten minutes, add eggs, bake covered, then uncovered.
I take that recipe, omit the sugars, and put in rehydrated minced onion; you could probably use fried onions too.

sorry just to clarify- does this mean you cook the lokshen and then mix it with the other ingredients and then bake it?

yes, first I cook the lokshen and fry the onions, then I mix them together with the other ingredients
