Pineapple Salsa Gef Fish
this is a la Spark People
roll of gef fish, defrosted if you want
jar of salsa, any kind
can of pineapple, crushed is best
You put your fish in a pan - fish can be in a roll or defrosted and pressed down like a thin meatloaf. You then open your containers and dump the sauce on top of the fish. Cover, if you want to, and then bake as usual.
Serve cold. Mmmmmmmmmm

This sounds interesting but yummy!
What size is the jar of salsa that you use?
What size crushed pineapple do you use?
And, how do you cook it? Covered or uncovered and for how long? I usually like specific.

I don't know whatever brands and sizes everyone has acess to, but you want to use enough to coat the fish and have some sauce left to serve on top.
I use a mild salsa cuz I've got real bland American tastebuds, and whatever pineapple I've gotten on sale; I look for the kind that's crushed if I can. I don't like chunks.
Fish or meat should be cooked covered to preserve the liquid. Cooking it uncovered causes the liquid to cook out.
